Italian TV RAI Frequency Change and Tivusat Channel Updates

Today on the 21/12/2022 some of the Italian RAI TV Channels have changed Frequency and unofficial Italian Satellite Receivers will stop working.

Italian Satellite TV Viewers may have noticed messages being displayed on screen that if they are not using an Official Tivusat  HD Satellite Receiver they will soon loose all Rai and Mediaset channels even if they are using an Official Tivusat Viewing Card.

This is part of a drive from Tivusat to prevent Piracy and force Italian Satellite TV Viewers to only use official Tivusat HD Satellite Receivers and Cards.

Many UK Customers have been using Satellite Receivers such as Technomate and Icecrypt but the new updates may find that these receivers will no longer work.

In these cases they will need to be replaced with a new Tivusat Receiver such as a Digiquest Telesystem or Xoro although others are available.

Below is the official notice released from Tivusat

“Tivù srl operates in the field of free satellite television through the tivùsat platform, and has always been at the forefront in the protection of valuable content and in the fight against piracy in the Italian free TV supply chain.

Starting from 21 December next and throughout 2023, our technical security systems will no longer allow the operation of the tivùsat smartcard combined with non-certified tivùsat decoders.”
