New 2026 Fransat Viewing Card Activation Process

Fransat Card Activation

As of from April and May 2026 the French Satellite Television Provider Fransat has upgraded their security protocols on Viewing Cards and Older Fransat Satellite Receivers.

Older Fransat Satellite Receivers will need to be upgraded in order to continue to view French Channels from the Eutelsat Satellite at 5 Degrees West.

For customers with new Fransat Receivers and Viewing Cards we recommend that after installing you new HD or 4K Fransat Satellite Receiver you insert the Viewing card and leave the box on channel 999 for 30 Minutes to an Hour in order for the Fransat Viewing Card to become Activated.
